
The communities that work together that make up the Greater Cedar Creek Lake are: Caney City, Enchanted Oaks, Eustace, Gun Barrel City, Log Cabin, Mabank, Malakoff, Payne Springs, Star Harbor, Seven Points, Tool, and Trinidad.

Richland Chambers Lake is owned and was built by Tarrant County Water Control District (TCWCD) in 1983. It is a water source for the communities serviced by the TCWCD. The lake is in Navarro and Freestone Counties, southeast of Corsicana. It is bound by IH –45 on the west, US Hwy 287 on the north, FM 309 on the East, and FM 416 on the south. The constant pool elevation is 315 feet above mean sea level. Property ownership is above 317 feet above mean sea level. It covers 41,356 surface acres and about 330 miles of shoreline.
Lake Athens is owned by the city of Athens. It is a municipal water source for Athens. It is located north east of Athens between FM 317, FM 2495, and FM 2892. From Athens, take SH 31 east to FM 2495 to the lake. Lake Athens is the home of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Freshwater Fish Hatchery Center.
